The South Zone of Costa Rica boasts rich biodiversity, featuring diverse ecosystems like rainforests, cloud forests, mangroves and lively coastal areas. This rare concept house has a master bedroom and two secondary bedrooms each with a queen bed and a bathroom with a shower that features a view of the outside lushness. A fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for cooking, while an outdoor lounge perched high (approx. 4 meters) amazes with a view of the immense beauty and mystery of the wild Jungle. Located in Piedras Blancas, in the South Pacific of Costa Rica, and within the Corcovado Park migratory corridor. The sound of birds, the beauty of multicolored butterflies, surprise visits from animals, and sounds you’ve never heard of will be your everyday experience. This setting transports you to a magical world, tropical wilds at 1000 feet of elevation.
COMFORT AND ACCESSIBILITY In order to access this secret place you will need to be in relatively good physical shape. To get there you will have to cross a river on foot and walk along irregular paths. This entire walk takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes. We strongly recommend the use of boots that cover the ankle to allow you to walk in the jungle in complete safety! Consider bringing carry bags with necessities like medicines. As there are no neighbors within half a kilometer, tranquility guaranteed except for the burble of the river and the sounds of the jungle animals. In addition, we recommend traveling on the trails with a headlamp within reach. The region is home to vast rainforests, such as those in Corcovado National Park, providing habitat for a wide range of plant and animal species. The surrounding cloud forests, with their misty canopies and unique flora, add to ecological diversity. You can admire, among other things, morphos, toucans, coatis, agoutis, monkeys, multicolored birds, lizards of all kinds and ,of course, FAIRIES
THE USE OF A 4×4 IS REQUIRED.
RIO PIEDRAS BLANCAS A private trail from the house will take you to the Piedras Blancas River. This mystical place will charm you with its magic worthy of a fairy tale. The turquoise color of the water, the hummingbirds, and countless other creatures will enchant you while you cool off in the burbling waters. (3-5 min walk).
WATER Drinking water comes from a clean spring in the high mountains. A 2500-liter tank is installed near this source, 750m from the house, and follows a pipe to the Fairytale house. The water is fresh, under good pressure and is excellent to drink. You are, in fact, drinking fresh, clean, clear and wild jungle rainwater!
ELECTRICITY All the wiring and bulbs are installed, all that remains is to install your solar panel system. You also can add a diesel generator, or place a power generator in the nearby river for guilt-free hydroelectricity! Please note that there is no public electricity service available from the city at this location.
WIRELESS There is no WiFi in the house however, with the Kolbi company, you will be able to reach the signal occasionally as well as in a few specific places on the trails. There is also an option to install a STARLINK antenna on the tallest tree nearby – a perfect location above the canopy!
HOUSE MAINTENANCE ($) Cleaning of roofs to prevent corrosion, maintenance of paths and the drinking water system, monitoring of insects, replacement of gas tanks, delivery, cleaning etc. is provided at a cost.
BIODIGESTER SYSTEM The house contains a biodigester toilet system. It is a sustainable and ecological sanitation solution designed to treat human waste while minimizing environmental impact. Human waste, without toilet paper, is collected in an underground biodigester tank. Inside the tank, waste is filtered through volcanic rocks. By adding microorganisms, they break down the solids and return to the Earth as clean water.

3 bedrooms: each with a queen bed with queen mattresses, and shared balcony for all 3 bedrooms with full bedding provided for the 3 bedrooms (sheet, pillow and warm blanket).

2 terraces + 1 long balcony for the 3 bedrooms with observation views of the Tropical Forest.
1 bathroom, shower with exterior view, curtains in case of rain.
Bio-digester system for the toilet. The system does not digest toilet paper. Use the trash can for toilet paper and other waste.
Drinking spring water with 2500-liter tank, excellent water pressure.
Matte ceramic floor (kitchen, living room).
Waxed pine flooring (corridor and bedrooms).
Concrete bathroom floor and balconies.
Foundation of 19 concrete pillars 1 square meter with steel reinforcement.
Galvanized steel column structure, earthquake resistant.
Good air circulation in the house due to the design of the concave roof.
Concave roof: during the rains the water passes through the house through 5 bamboo trees.
No electricity but all wiring and bulbs are installed. An option is to add a small diesel generator or build a small hydro-electric plant on the nearby river!
KITCHEN The kitchen includes everything you need for cooking and a gas stove (be careful with the center burner, it is very strong). In addition:

Cutlery for 6 people, pots and cooking pan.
Compost bin space.

4 solid swings, 2 benches which can be used as small table in the living room.
LAND
2 acres along the Piedras Blancas River, registered in the National Register (PLAN with river). Direct access to the Piedras Blancas River and its clean turquoise water coming from the mountains. All documents are in order.

5 km: Major National Road.
7 km: 2 grocery stores, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, clinic, police station, Chinese restaurant.
10 km: Gas station and 3 Restaurants.
